Tap and jazz classes are a HUGE part of our weekly schedule at North Star Dance Studio! Lessons are taught by the wonderful Miss Allyson. Here's a little introduction for those who don't know her yet.
"I started dancing at Karen Aitchison School of Dancing age 4 and studied RAD ballet up to Advanced as well as tap & modern/jazz.
I have now been teaching for 18 years and am a member of the International Dance Teacher Association (IDTA).
I love to learn new things and I study multiple dance disciplines, as well as pedagogy regularly throughout the year as part of my continuing development as a teacher to keep our training and classes current, fun, & safe. I also have a special interest in how dance & music aid in cognative development and educational performance.
My love for dance is immense and I try to pass that onto my students."
